For Direct Hire: We have an outstanding career opportunity for a CNC Machine Maintenance Technician to join a leading company in Agawam, MA.

Position Overview

The CNC Machine Maintenance Technician III will perform highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production machinery, facility equipment, and physical structures according to safety and preventive maintenance systems and processes.

Responsibilities

1. Maintain production machines and plant facility equipment.
2. Develop work instructions to support a preventive maintenance system.
3. Utilize a variety of hand and power tools and electric multimeters.
4. Proficiently use computers for maintenance tasks.
5. Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repairs on CNC equipment, machines, and facilities.
6. Coordinate services from outside vendors and contractors.
7. Manage parts purchasing and inventory.
8. Assist in training maintenance staff and operators for scheduled and regular maintenance.
9. Schedule and prioritize maintenance work based on company and manager needs.
10. Work with management to identify CNC equipment needs and potential issues.
11. Inspect and listen to machinery to locate malfunctions.
12. Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, and perform tests and adjustments.
13. Report faulty operations, defective materials, or equipment issues.
14. Inspect parts for wear or misalignment.
15. Provide emergency and scheduled repairs during production.
16. Perform basic building repairs, including plastering, painting, and trim work.
17. May require use of personal vehicle for work-related tasks.

Basic Hiring Criteria

1. 5+ years of CNC experience may substitute for a degree.
2. Ability to operate various hand tools, understand mechanical processes, and possess electronics and hydraulics knowledge.
3. Experience in a machine shop performing maintenance duties is preferred.
4. Mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
5. Ability to read and interpret safety rules, manuals, and procedure documents.
6. Ability to read electrical schematics.
