Job summary

Allied Machine & Engineering Corp in Dover, OH, seeks an experienced Cell Lathe holder to turn, face and center, thread mill on special holders, prototypes and tooling to meet print specifications. You will work with Supervisors and Engineers as needed and follow schedules to deliver parts to print.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; AMEC Apprentice preferred.
• Experience holding holders and blueprint reading is preferred.
• Proficiency with optical comparator and inspection equipment is expected.
• CNC lathe setup and operation experience is preferred.
• Able to lift 32 lbs and push 100 lbs as part of the job.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run special product, prototypes and tooling on CNC Lathe and Horizontal Mill.
• Inspect parts per inspection plan and ensure conformance to specifications.
• Input program variables to create finished parts per prints.
• Perform root cause analysis and coordinate with support groups when issues arise.
• Process orders on schedule and stage product for next operation.
• Deburr parts and maintain quality and safety standards.
