Job summary

Allied Machine & Engineering Corp. is seeking a dedicated machinist to set up and run CNC lathe operations on holders, prototypes and tooling to meet print specifications. You will collaborate with supervisors and engineers to ensure quality and on-time production.

Responsibilities include turning, facing and threading, deburring, reading blueprints, and using inspection equipment. You will input program variables and perform root cause analysis, while following strict schedules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• AMEC Apprentice graduate or current student preferred.
• Experience with holders manufacturing is preferred.
• Blueprint reading knowledge is preferred.
• Experience with optical comparators and inspection equipment preferred.
• CNC setup/operation experience preferred.
• Programming and trigonometry knowledge preferred.
• Experience with grinding, milling and turning operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run special product, prototypes and tooling on CNC Lathe, Horizontal Mill.
• Inspect parts for quality per inspection plan.
• Input program variables to create a finish product to print specifications.
• Perform root cause analysis and communicate findings to support groups.
• Process orders and stage product for next operation.
• Deburr parts before next operation.
• Assist with lifting up to 32 lbs and push loads up to 100 lbs.
• Follow established schedules and report issues to management.

Follow applicable schedules.
