Job summary

Allied Machine & Engineering Corp. in Ohio is seeking a Holders Specials Cell Milling specialist to mill pockets, grooves and keyways on special holders and tooling according to print specifications. The role requires setup of CNC mills, inspection, and collaboration with supervision to meet schedules.

Responsibilities include prototyping, deburring, inputting variable data, and root cause analysis. Candidates should be able to lift 32 lbs and assist with heavier loads, with AMEC apprenticeship

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; AMEC Apprentice preferred.
• Experience in holders/manufacturing and blueprint reading advantageous.
• Proficient with optical comparator and inspection equipment.
• CNC machine setup and operation experience preferred.
• Experience in programming and trigonometry preferred.
• Background in grinding, milling, and turning operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run special product, prototypes and tooling on CNC Mills and Bridgeport Mill.
• Inspect parts for quality per inspection plan.
• Input program variables to meet print specs.
• Perform root cause analysis and communicate findings.
• Process orders according to schedule and stage product accordingly.
• Deburr parts before next operation as needed.
• Lift up to 32 lbs; assist with 100 lb loads as needed.
• Observe and report issues through established channels.
• Contribute to quality, delivery, cost reduction and customer satisfaction initiatives.
