South Bay Solutions in Fremont, CA is seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Setup Operator to produce machined parts per print by setting up and operating lathes, while maintaining quality, safety, and accurate record keeping.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years of lathe setup experience, can read and interpret prints including GD&T, and is proficient with CNC programming (G/M codes). This role demands precision in a fast-paced environment.

Summary

This position requires candidate to produce machined parts per print by setting up and operating a CNC Lathe machine, maintaining quality, safety standards and record keeping. This position requires strong CNC experience involving setting up and operating lathes. Must be able to work in a fast-paced & challenging environment.

Required Skills

• Minimum 5-7 years of Lathe setup experience.
• Work with minimal supervision to resolve issues.
• Must be able to setup from program notes & shop traveler.
• Must be able to read & interpret prints, including GD&T.
• Firm understanding of CNC programming, including G/M codes & editing.
• Inspect own parts with attention to detail.
• Proficient with inspection tools & methods.
• Communicate effectively within the team, different shifts, & management.

Education / Experience

• High School diploma or GED required. Accredited Trade School and or Associate degree preferred.
• At least 5 - 7 years of experience

Shift:

• Swing: 2:30pm - 11:05pm
