Job summary

South Bay Solutions in California is seeking a skilled CNC lathe operator to produce precision parts for semiconductor and medical devices. You will monitor tool life, adjust offsets, inspect parts, and document results while maintaining strict safety standards.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, setting and verifying offsets, logging quantities, and supporting basic machine maintenance. You’ll work to meet or exceed cycle times and communicate across shifts to ensure quality and

Qualifications

• Basic math and computing knowledge.
• Ability to meet production requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Experience using micrometers, calipers, indicators, and other basic measuring equipment.

• Loading / un-loading of CNC machine.
• Inspect produced parts & adjust offsets to meet print requirements
• Document inspection results while running job.
• Strive to meet or exceed set cycle times. Run multiple machines whenever possible.
• Accurately log in & out of jobs, including correct quantities.
• Support basic machine maintenance requirements.
• Report problems/concerns immediately to supervisor/management.
• Communicate effectively within the team & pass down information to different shifts.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment for their area.

Summary

The occupation requires monitoring and operating CNC (computer numerically controlled) lathe machines to cut metal and plastic parts for the manufacturing industry. This includes monitoring tool life, adjusting tool offsets, periodic inspection of part & documentation of results while maintaining safety standards.

Required Skills

Education / Experience

• Experience working in a machine shop environment.

Shift:

• Swing: 2:30pm to 11:05pm
