Job summary

Plansee Group is seeking a CNC Machinist Level 2 or 3 to operate Okuma lathes in Franklin, MA. You will interpret blueprints with GD&T, set up machines, qualify tools, and validate first-article dimensions using hand tools, optical comparators, and CMMs.

Qualifications

• Fluent in reading and interpreting blueprints with GD&T.
• Comfort with metrology from hand tools to CMM and optical comparator.
• Able to read G- and M-code and perform simple edits to programs.
• CNC Machinist Level 2 or 3 experience.
• Hands-on with Okuma machines using Fanuc and Okuma controls.

Responsibilities

• Review detailed blueprints and GD&T callouts to plan setups.
• Bring an Okuma CNC lathe online and run through setup parameters.
• Qualify tools and verify first-article dimensions with metrology equipment.
• Read G- and M-code and perform simple program edits to keep production moving.
• Perform changeovers and complex setups under limited supervision.
