Job summary

MW Components, Inc. in Corona, CA is seeking a CNC Lathe setup machinist/CNC Operator II for the 1st shift. This on-site role requires performing full setup and operation of CNC machines, interpreting drawings, and ensuring parts meet specifications.

You will work with GD&T, use precision metrology tools, and collaborate with programmers on improvements. On-site employment with emphasis on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years’ experience in machine operation and setup.
• Proficiency with basic CNC setup, offsets, and tool changes.
• Strong ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T symbols.
• Skilled in using precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.).
• Familiarity with safety standards and best practices in a machining environment.
• Experience with stainless steel, aluminum, and exotic alloys.
• Experience running tight tolerance production work (+/- .001 or tighter).

Responsibilities

• Perform full setup and operation of CNC machines including tooling and offsets.
• Read and interpret complex blueprints, GD&T specifications.
• Inspect parts using micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, CMM exposure a plus.
• Troubleshoot machining issues such as tool wear, dimensional deviations, vibration, and surface finish defects.
• Collaborate with programmers or engineers on process improvements and manufacturability solutions.
• Train and mentor CNC Operator I personnel.
• Maintain accurate production and quality records.
• Perform preventive maintenance and ensure machines are kept in optimal condition.
