Job summary

Jobot is actively seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Setup Machinist in Glendale Heights, IL, to set up, program (conversational or G-code), and operate multi-axis lathes with live tooling on 1st or 2nd shift. You will read blueprints, perform first-article inspections, and troubleshoot programs to ensure quality and on-time production.

Qualifications

• 3+ years CNC lathe setup experience.
• Experience with multi-axis lathes and live tooling preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and use measuring instruments.
• Experience making program edits or conversational programming.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathes (multi-axis, live tooling preferred).
• Load programs and make offsets as needed.
• Read and interpret blueprints and GD&T.
• Perform first-article inspections and in-process checks.
• Troubleshoot tooling, program, and machine issues.
• Maintain quality and production standards.
