Job summary

Wisconsin Metal Parts, Inc. is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our fast-paced turning shop. You will set up, program, and operate CNC lathes, including dual/sub spindle and Swiss turning when required.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of turning experience, strong CAM programming skills, GD&T interpretation, and a proven ability to improve cycle times, tooling life, and part quality. You must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and stand 8–10 hours.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of turning experience setting up, operating, and troubleshooting CNC turning equipment.
• Proficient CAM programming for lathe/turning centers required.
• Experience with dual/sub spindle and/or Swiss turning strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete all new or repeat set-ups, including tooling/fixture selection for mixed volume turned parts.
• Assist with design/development of new programs from scratch.
• Lead part/process improvements for profitability: cycle times, tooling life, quality, efficiencies.
• Machining operations for routine parts or those with very close tolerances and high-end finishes.
• Read/interpret part prints and perform quality checks per part requirements.
• Assist in secondary production operations and routine machine/cell maintenance.
