Job summary

Ashworth in Winchester, Virginia is seeking a CNC and Lathe Programmer/Machinist to join our precision manufacturing team. You will operate lathes, milling machines, grinders and CNC equipment to fabricate high-quality components, read blueprints and CAM programs, and troubleshoot G-code/M-code.

This is a full-time, hourly position with ESOP benefits, 401(k), health/dental, tuition reimbursement and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 2 years of technical education preferred.
• Previous CNC machine operating experience and demonstrated mechanical aptitude required.
• Progression through machinist levels based on demonstrated competencies and experience.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and operate machine tools including lathes, milling machines, shapers, grinders, and CNC equipment.
• Machine parts to specifications using appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and measuring instruments.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD programs; program and operate CNC machines for complex parts.
• Perform quality control: measure and inspect parts with precision instruments; ensure tolerances.
• Follow safety rules; maintain clean, organized work environment; participate in continuous improvement.
