A precision machine shop is seeking a CNC Lathe Operator/Programmer in Traverse City. Must have experience with Mazak lathes and Mazatrol controllers. Overview

CNC Lathe Operator/Programmer needed for a precision machine shop in Traverse City.

Experience with Mazak lathes and Mazatrol controllers required. Experience with Doosan lathes and Fanuc controllers is a plus. Swiss-type lathe experience also a plus. MasterCAM programming experience preferred.

Pay is based on experience and proven skill at $20.00 - $26.00 to start.

First and Second shifts available; typically Mon-Thur., 10-hour shifts, with overtime available on Fridays. Start times are flexible, if needed.

United Engineered Technologies offers a clean, temperature-controlled working environment. We are AS9100 certified for aerospace, and currently service the defense, medical, energy and aerospace sectors.

Responsibilities

• Machine components for first articles as well as production runs.


• Monitor quality by taking measurements, detecting malfunctions and troubleshooting processes.


• Adjust and reprogram control while adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.


• Perform in-process inspections to ensure compliance with specifications.

Qualifications

• Experience with Mazak lathes and Mazatrol controllers required. Experience with Doosan lathes and Fanuc controllers is a plus. Swiss-type lathe experience also a plus. MasterCAM programming experience preferred.


• Experience with MasterCAM and AutoDesk Fusion 360 a plus.


• Set-up and operate CNC Lathe and/or CNC Mill.


• Prefer 2 years experience as a machinist in a manufacturing environment.

Compensation and Schedule

• Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour, based on experience and proven skill.


• Overtime available; shift pattern typically Mon-Thur., 10-hour shifts; first and second shifts available.
