Job summary

Commercial Metals Company in Martinsburg, WV is seeking a hands-on technician to operate CNC lathes, perform routine maintenance, and support production teams. You will work in a fast-paced environment, uphold safety standards, and contribute to efficient manufacturing across our steel reinforcement operations.

Ideal candidates bring basic computer skills, the ability to multitask, and a reliable work ethic.

Qualifications

Basic computer skills required.
Able to learn quickly and multitask.
Able to work overtime when required.
Team player in a fast-paced environment with strong work ethic, attention to detail.
Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Dependability in attendance and task completion.
Willingness to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

Participate in Safety Programs and uphold Safety Culture.
Communicate production issues, concerns and needs clearly.
Perform minor maintenance or repairs as needed.
Maintain daily housekeeping and organize work area.
Assist overhead crane operations and relief where needed.
Troubleshoot machine and process problems with team.
Understand start-up/shutdown and emergency procedures.
Set up, adjust, and operate CNC lathe tools and related equipment.
Lubricate machines and maintain a clean, safe work station.
Ensure tasks from Operations Support Management are completed safely and on time.
