Job summary

CMC, a Fortune 500® company, is hiring a Maintenance Technician to join our steel products and ground stabilization operations in Martinsburg, WV. You’ll participate in safety programs, inspect equipment, perform routine maintenance, and support continuous improvement with your team.

You will work in a fast-paced facility, handle start-up/shutdown procedures, troubleshoot, and communicate production needs. Overtime and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Reliability, attention to detail, and strong teamwork.
• Able to learn quickly, multitask, and work overtime when needed.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the CMC Safety Programs and uphold the Safety Culture.
• Complete equipment inspection reports each shift.
• Perform routine maintenance or repairs as needed.
• Suggest improvements in methods and procedures.
• Maintain daily housekeeping and safe work practices.
• Troubleshoot production issues and communicate needs.
• Understand start up, shutdown, and emergency procedures.
• Train new operators and share best practices.
• Take slag samples as required.
