Job summary

Great Oaks in the United States is seeking a CNC Lathe operator to run horizontal CNC and manual machines, load parts, cycle the machine, and detect malfunctions. You will work with production lots, communicate with coworkers, and maintain a safe, clean work environment at Faxon Firearms as needed.

Responsibilities include operating machines, reporting defects, following quality procedures, inspecting parts, and ensuring gauges are calibrated.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6+ months experience with CNC Mill/Lathe.
• Experience with CNC machines in manufacturing or training.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Familiarity with micrometers and calipers.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC Lathe and auxiliary machines as assigned.
• Detect and report defective materials or conditions to supervision.
• Follow quality procedures and complete in-process inspection forms.
• Keep work area clean and organized, and follow safety procedures.
• Perform inspections of machined parts and document results.
• Read and understand blueprint features before cutting.
