Commercial Metals is seeking a Machinist to operate CNC lathe equipment and perform precision machining tasks in a fast-paced production environment. You will measure, adjust, and verify parts to ensure tight tolerances while maintaining a clean, safe workspace.

The role requires basic computer skills, attention to detail, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Shift flexibility and teamwork are essential for daily operations and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn and perform a variety of machining tasks.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and operate CNC Lathe machines and related tools to perform precision machining.
• Calculate dimensions and tolerances using measurement instruments (micrometers, calipers).
• Monitor machine feed and speed during machining processes.
• Inspect output for conformance to specifications and maintain inventory of completed products.
• Clean and lubricate machines and tools; maintain a safe, organized work area.
• Troubleshoot basic machining issues and communicate with coworkers.
