You will set up, operate, and edit CNC programs under supervision, inspect parts, and support multiple machines in a busy shop environment. Proficiency with precision measurement tools and a willingness to cross-train on other equipment are essential.

Qualifications

• 1 year of proven CNC Lathe experience.
• Overhead crane experience.
• Ability to read precision measuring equipment and blueprints.
• Ability to do light CNC editing.
• Own basic hand tools at minimum.
• Basic understanding of feeds and speeds.

Responsibilities

• Machine metals including steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
• Inspect parts during production using precision measuring instruments.
• Read process sheets, blueprints, and sketches to determine machining requirements.
• Set up and operate CNC machines using set-up sheets and written instructions.
• Pre-set tools and install tooling as specified.
• Monitor and adjust machine speeds and feeds via control panel.
• Inspect first run piece and spot check subsequent pieces for conformance to specifications.
• Crosstrain on other plant machinery as required.
