Job summary

Genuine Machine Products in Gilbert, AZ is seeking a CNC Lathe Operator to join a precision machining team on the night shift (3:15 PM – 1:15 AM). You will set up and operate CNC lathes, read drawings, and produce parts to exact specifications.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience, familiarity with Mazak or Nakamura machines, and the ability to troubleshoot, measure with calipers and micrometers, and work safely in a collaborative environment. U.S. Person status applies.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience setting up and operating CNC lathes.
  • Experience with Mazak and/or Nakamura machines preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC lathe machines to produce precision parts per engineering specs.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Monitor machining operations for quality, efficiency, and consistency.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC equipment.
  • Inspect finished parts for accuracy and adherence to specifications.
  • Use calipers, micrometers, and gauges for precise measurement.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Collaborate with team to improve production processes and quality.

Contract: Full-Time; Shift: Night Shift 3:15PM - 1:15AM

Pay Range: $25 - $31 /hr

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate CNC lathe machines to produce precision parts according to engineering specifications
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
  • Monitor machine operations to ensure quality, efficiency, and consistency
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC equipment
  • Inspect finished parts for accuracy and adherence to specifications
  • Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Collaborate with team members to improve and optimize production processes
  • Follow all safety protocols, quality standards, and company policies
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent (technical degree preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience setting up and operating CNC Lathe
  • Machines- Aerospace Industry Experience Strongly Preferred
  • Experience with Mazak and/or Nakamura machines preferred
  • Strong understanding of CNC machining processes, tooling, and materials
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documentation
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills and a positive, team-focused attitude
