Torrey Holistics is seeking an experienced CNC lathe operator to produce precision parts in a tight-tolerance environment. You will set up and run Mazak/Nakamura lathes, read blueprints, and collaborate with a skilled team to meet engineering specs.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC lathe machines to produce precision parts according to engineering specifications.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Monitor machine operations to ensure quality, efficiency, and consistency.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC equipment.
  • Inspect finished parts for accuracy and adherence to specifications.
  • Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve and optimize production processes.
  • Follow all safety protocols, quality standards, and company policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate CNC lathe machines to produce precision parts according to engineering specifications
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
  • Monitor machine operations to ensure quality, efficiency, and consistency
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC equipment
  • Inspect finished parts for accuracy and adherence to specifications
  • Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent (technical degree preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience setting up and operating CNC Lathe machines- Aerospace industry experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with Mazak and/or Nakamura machines preferred
  • Strong understanding of CNC machining processes, tooling, and materials
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documentation
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills and a positive, team‑focused attitude
