Job summary

Manpower, Inc. in Fenton, MO is hiring for a CNC Lathe Operator on the 2nd shift, with a starting pay of $27.00 per hour and a $1.00 shift differential. Training is required on the 1st shift (Mon-Fri) before transitioning to the 2nd shift ending around 12:45 AM.

You will set up, layout, and operate CNC lathes and mills, read blueprints, adjust offsets, and inspect parts with precision tools to ensure quality, while maintaining a safe, clean work area and following all safety policies.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and hand-eye coordination.

Responsibilities

CNC Lathe Operator - 2nd Shift | $27.00/HR
Fenton, MO

Pay Rate: $27.00/hour ($26.00/hour + $1.00 shift differential)
Shift: Monday - Thursday, 2:15 PM - 12:45 AM
Training: Candidates must complete training on 1st Shift (Monday - Friday)

What You’ll Do:

• Set up, layout, and operate CNC lathes and mills


• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and specifications


• Adjust machine offsets and tooling as needed


• Operate and troubleshoot Haas CNC machines


• Use precision measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers


• Inspect finished parts to ensure quality standards are met


• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment


• Follow all company safety policies and procedures

Preferred Experience:

• Experience setting up and operating CNC lathes


• Haas machine experience preferred


• Experience adjusting offsets


• Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring equipment


• 5-Axis machining experience is a plus


• Minimum 1 year of CNC machining experience preferred

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED


• Basic math skills


• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions


• Strong attention to detail and hand-eye coordination

Physical Requirements:

• Stand for up to 90% of the shift


• Lift up to 25 lbs.


• Wear required PPE, including steel-toe shoes, safety glasses, and hearing protection
