CNC Lathe / Swiss Operator – 2nd ShiftMonday–Thursday | Four 10-Hour Shifts | Three-Day Weekend Every WeekPosition OverviewCCT Enterprises is seeking a dependable CNC Lathe / Swiss Operator to join our growing precision machining team on 2nd shift. This position is responsible for operating established CNC Swiss and CNC lathe machines, monitoring part quality, performing routine tool changes, and ensuring production goals are met while maintaining CCT's high standards for quality and safety.If you enjoy working in a clean, team-oriented manufacturing environment and are looking for a stable career with opportunities to grow, we'd love to hear from you.Enjoy a four-day work week with three-day weekends while building your career in precision manufacturing.What You'll DoMachine OperationOperate established CNC Swiss and CNC lathe machines according to setup documentation and work instructions.Load raw material and monitor machine operation throughout production runs.Monitor tooling, chip formation, coolant flow, and overall machine performance.Perform routine tool changes and tool touch-offs as directed.Assist with bar feeder operation and material replenishment as required.Notify supervision of tooling, machine, or production issues that could impact quality or efficiency.Support production schedules by maintaining expected production rates.Quality & InspectionRead and interpret basic blueprints and work instructions.Perform in-process inspections using:- CalipersMicrometersPin GaugesThread Gauges (when applicable)Verify parts meet customer specifications before continuing production.Monitor critical dimensions throughout production to ensure consistent quality.Identify, segregate, and report scrap or suspect material.Complete all required production and inspection documentation accurately.Documentation & SystemsMaintain accurate JobBOSS production entries.Complete job travelers and required quality documentation.Follow all work instructions, setup sheets, and Job Instruction Manuals (JIM Books).Teamwork & Continuous ImprovementWork closely with Set-Up Technicians, Quality, and Production Supervisors.Participate in company training and continuously develop machining knowledge.Assist with production needs throughout the department.Support continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing efforts.Safety & HousekeepingFollow all company safety policies and safe machining practices.Understand emergency stop procedures and machine safety requirements.Maintain a clean, organized work area.Immediately report unsafe conditions, injuries, or equipment concerns.What We're Looking ForRequired QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED.Minimum one year of CNC machining experience.Experience operating CNC lathes, Swiss machines, or similar turning equipment.Ability to read basic blueprints.Experience using precision measuring equipment, including calipers and micrometers.Basic math skills.Ability to read and understand English.Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.Preferred QualificationsPrevious Swiss machining experience.Previous CNC lathe experience.Experience in a production manufacturing environment.Mechanical aptitude.Familiarity with JobBOSS or similar manufacturing software.Experience with bar feeders.Desire to advance into CNC Swiss or CNC Lathe Set-Up positions.What Makes Someone Successful at CCTThe people who thrive at CCT are those who:Take pride in producing high-quality work.Show up consistently and are dependable.Pay close attention to detail.Take ownership of their work and continuously look for ways to improve.Work well with others and contribute to a positive team environment.Are willing to learn new skills and grow professionally.Help solve problems instead of waiting for someone else to fix them.What This Role Is (and Is Not)This Role IsOperating established CNC Swiss and CNC lathe machines.Producing precision-machined parts safely and efficiently.Monitoring production, tooling, and part quality.Building the skills needed for advancement into CNC Set-Up positions.This Role Is NotA CNC programming position.A full machine setup position.An engineering role.Compensation & BenefitsCompetitive Hourly Pay $19-$23/hr (based on experience)Medical InsuranceDental InsuranceVision InsuranceLife Insurance401(k)Paid Time OffTuition ReimbursementOn-the-Job TrainingCareer GrowthAt CCT Enterprises, we believe in promoting from within.
