Job summary

Allied Mechanical in Ontario, CA, is seeking CNC Lathe Machinists for 1st and 2nd shifts. The role involves setting up and operating large multi-axis vertical and horizontal lathes to shape, finish, bore, and edge large metal parts. You will run multiple machines across platforms, meet tight tolerances, and edit programs.

ITAR applies; US Persons required. Benefits include health and 401(k). Experience with Fanuc controls and blueprint reading is essential.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience operating/setting up lathe or mill machines in aerospace/machine shop.
• Proficient in blueprint reading and measurement using calipers and micrometers.
• Ability to perform moderately complex setups using past experience.
• Offsets, speed/feed adjustments, and optimizing run times.
• Run 4-5 different machine types across parts.
• Must be able to work overtime and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate large multi-axis NC vertical and horizontal lathes.
• Shape, finish, bore and edge large metallic work pieces with tight tolerances.
• Edit programs and troubleshoot machining issues; provide root-cause analysis.
• Complete quality documentation and traceability records; support inspection team.
• Train lower-level machinists on machines, processes and safe practices.
