HMH in Houston, TX is seeking a CNC Lathe Machinist to operate lathes, set up tooling, and inspect parts to tight tolerances. The role requires reading engineering drawings, using G&M codes, and maintaining measuring equipment with a strong emphasis on safety and quality in a fast-paced shop environment.

Candidates must be able to work independently and in a team, follow procedures, and adhere to production schedules. The schedule is 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, with overtime as required.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and print specifications.
• Competence with G&M codes, feeds and speeds, and editing programs as needed.
• Experience with measuring equipment (micrometers, calipers) and inspection methods.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Safety, quality, and adherence to production schedules are essential.

Mansioni

• Perform turning, facing, boring, drilling, threading, grooving, and other lathe operations.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and tolerances to ensure part conformity.
• Set up machines, edit programs, and select cutting tools for quality parts.
• Use measuring tools to inspect in-process and final parts and document results.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and comply with HSSE requirements.
• Collaborate with team to meet production priorities and quality standards.
