Base pay range

Job Description:

Are you a skilled CNC Lathe Machinist looking to elevate your career in a clean, safety-first, and dynamic manufacturing environment? Join a well-established ISO 9001 certified manufacturer specializing in precision-machined plastic and aluminum components. As part of our continued growth, we are seeking experienced, detail-oriented professionals to join our high-performing team in the Lawrence/Methuen area.

Military experience equivalency may substitute for some requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up and operate CNC lathe machines based on technical drawings, blueprints, and detailed work instructions.
Select and install appropriate tooling, chucks, and fixtures to ensure machining efficiency and high-quality results.
Make real-time program and machine adjustments to maintain tight tolerances and performance standards.
Conduct thorough in-process and final inspections using micrometers, calipers, and other precision instruments.
Troubleshoot issues related to machining and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintain accurate production and quality documentation in accordance with ISO standards.
Promote a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following all safety procedures.
Contribute to production goals in a high-mix, low-volume setting requiring versatility and focus.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience setting up and running CNC lathes.
Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings, including GD&T.
Solid understanding of machining practices, tooling, and materials (particularly plastics and aluminum).
High attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

5+ years of CNC lathe experience.
Familiarity with G-code and/or conversational programming.
Formal CNC certification or completion of a machining vocational program.
