Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a CNC Lathe Machinist in Fort Worth, TX. The role requires operating CNC lathe machines, reading blueprints, and using GD&T to ensure parts meet tolerances.

You will troubleshoot programs and inspect parts with precision, while coordinating with engineering and quality teams. We value hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment, with proficiency in 3-axis machining and G Code programming, and familiarity with calipers and gauges for measurements.

Qualifications

CNC Lathe Machinist

$26 to $30hr

Job Description

As a CNC Lathe Machinist, you will set up and operate vertical lathe machines to perform tasks such as turning, drilling, and milling. You will handle part completion operations, optimize set-up times, and maximize machine utilization.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC equipment to complete full cycles for high and low volume part production.

• Read and interpret blueprints and route instructions to understand task specifications.

• Utilize Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) to ensure parts meet specifications and tolerances.

• Troubleshoot programs and make necessary adjustments to maintain precision.

• Inspect parts with a high degree of precision and follow the in-process part inspection process.

• Communicate with managers, programmers, and quality personnel to resolve quality issues.

Essential Skills

• Proficient in operating lathe machines, with at least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, including performing setups.

• Experience with 3-axis machines required; experience with 5-axis machines is a plus.

• Familiarity with G Code programming.

• Ability to use calipers and gauges for measurement.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with brands such as Brother, Doosan, Takumi, and Siemens is preferred but not required.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Worth, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $30.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
