Job Details

• Title: CNC Lathe Machinist

• Shifts: 1st Shift, Day Shift

Responsibilities

• Set up equipment using common hand tools, configure controls, and input program instructions to maximize equipment performance.
• Work with engineering personnel and operators to coordinate machining of workpieces.
• Insert and indicate tooling, modify programs as necessary, and operate equipment.
• Run test samples, inspect with gauges and tools, monitor machine operations, and make adjustments.
• Gauge finished workpieces to ensure parts meet tolerance specifications.
• Perform finishing work using grinders, mills, EDM, and honing equipment.
• Maintain and properly store precision measuring and electronic testing instruments.
• Clean and lubricate equipment appropriately using specified lubricants.
• Complete required paperwork such as parts requisitions and tool requests.
• Adhere to all written quality and operational procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience setting up and operating CNC lathes with Fanuc controls.
• Experience machining stainless steel and non-ferrous materials.
• Knowledge of machines with live tooling, tailstock, and sub-spindle transfers is highly desirable.
• Experience with multi-turret machines is a plus.
• FeatureCAM or Fusion 360 programming knowledge is a plus.
• CAD/CAM knowledge helpful but not required.
• Ability to read micrometers, gauges, and comparators; proficiency in blueprint reading.
• Good computer and math skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Well-organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
