Job summary

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate and optimize CNC lathe machines to produce precision components
• Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions for accurate machining
• Inspect finished parts with precision measuring equipment and maintain quality records
• Troubleshoot equipment, tooling and programming issues to minimize downtime
• Perform routine machine maintenance and keep a clean, safe workspace

CNC Lathe Machinist

Location: Forest Park, OH

Shift Type: Full-time

Pay: $40-$43/hr

Requirements

• 10+ years of hands-on experience operating and setting up CNC lathes in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T specifications.
• Proficiency using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and indicators.
• Experience editing CNC programs, adjusting tooling offsets, and troubleshooting machining issues.
• Thorough understanding of machining processes, cutting tools, speeds, feeds, and quality standards.
