HSM (Hickory Springs Manufacturing) Company is seeking an operator for CNC laser systems at our Hickory, NC facility. You will load, align, and run laser cutting and robotic welding processes, while checking documented instructions and material specs.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and 2+ years in manufacturing or related fields. Basic computer skills and ability to read blueprints are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 2+ years in manufacturing, fabrication, machining, CNC, laser processing, or related industrial experience preferred.
• Exposure to ISO 9001, IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, or Lean Manufacturing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate advanced CNC laser systems used for precision 3D laser cutting and automated robotic laser welding.
• Load, position, and secure materials and components into laser equipment and precision welding fixtures.
• Select approved production programs and verify the correct materials, tooling, fixtures, and documentation.
• Monitor automated manufacturing cycles for machine performance and product quality.
• Follow standardized work instructions while meeting production, quality, and scheduling expectations.
• Cross-train across multiple laser technologies and production cells as your skills develop.
