Job summary

Accelera in Elgin, IL is hiring a CNC Laser Technician to transform raw metals into precise components. You will program and operate laser cutting systems, read engineering blueprints and BOMs, and ensure parts meet exact specifications and delivery timelines.

In this role, you’ll set up machines for different steel gauges, perform thorough quality inspections, and safely transport materials on the shop floor using forklifts while upholding lean manufacturing practices and a strong safety

About the Role

As a CNC Laser Technician, you will play a critical role in our production facility by transforming raw materials into high-precision components. Responsibilities

• Program and operate advanced laser cutting systems to execute complex metal fabrication tasks.
• Interpret technical blueprints and Bills of Materials (BOMs) to ensure absolute precision in part production.
• Perform efficient machine setups for various steel gauges to optimize throughput.
• Utilize industrial forklifts to safely transport materials and manage inventory flow on the shop floor.
