Herzog Railroad Services, Inc. in St. Joseph, MO is seeking a CNC Laser Operator to produce quality parts in our fabrication shop. The ideal candidate will set up and operate CNC laser cutting equipment, read fabrication drawings, and inspect finished parts.

Experience with TRUMPF equipment is preferred. This full-time role requires adherence to safety procedures, accurate record-keeping, and regular attendance as part of Herzog’s culture.

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience operating CNC laser cutting equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings.
• Knowledge of material types, thicknesses, and quality requirements.
• Ability to use measuring tools to verify part dimensions.
• Experience with TRUMPF laser cutting equipment.
• CNC programming, nesting, and cutting parameter adjustments.
• Safe and efficient material handling practices.

Responsabilidades

• Set up and operate CNC laser cutting equipment using work orders and drawings.
• Verify material type, thickness, and quantity before cutting.
• Load and unload material and identify parts for the next operation.
• Inspect finished parts for dimensions and cut quality.
• Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot cutting issues.
• Perform routine cleaning and preventive maintenance.
• Maintain production and maintenance records.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.
• Assist with other fabrication equipment and shop duties.
