Job summary

Mark Rite Lines Equipment Company, based in Billings, Montana, is seeking a Laser Operator to set up and run CNC laser cutting equipment to manufacture sheet metal parts according to drawings and engineering specifications.

You will perform machine setup, quality inspections, preventative maintenance, and support continuous production in a safe, organized 2nd shift environment (Mon-Thu, 3:30 PM–2:00 AM), collaborating with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to meet schedules.

Qualifications

• Must read and interpret work instructions, blueprints and drawings.
• Experience with precision measuring tools and inspection techniques is preferred.
• Formal CNC education or equivalent experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC laser cutting equipment to manufacture sheet metal parts per work instructions and specs.
• Select tooling, fixtures, and machine settings based on material and thickness.
• Load materials, set offsets, perform simple edits, monitor production for quality.
• Inspect finished parts for dimensional accuracy and conformance; perform deburring as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area following 5S and safety policies.
