Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced CNC Laser Operator for an established precision manufacturing company in the Aerospace sector. This on-site, full-time role offers 1st and 2nd shifts with weekend options and schedules such as 4/10.

You will set up, program edit, and operate CNC laser cutting equipment, lathes, and mills to produce precision parts per engineering drawings. We value strong troubleshooting skills, familiarity with GD&T, and the ability to work with inch and metric measurements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years CNC machining and/or CNC laser cutting experience.
• Proficient in CNC setup, operation, and basic program editing.
• Experience with multi-axis machining and laser cutting equipment.
• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge.
• Able to work with inch and metric measurements.
• Ability to troubleshoot machining issues.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathes, mills, and multi-axis CNC laser cutting equipment.
• Configure fixtures, vises, rotary tables, and workholding devices for machining and cutting operations.
• Establish part and fixture locations to ensure accurate machining and cutting processes.
• Manufacture components to required dimensions and tolerances based on engineering drawings and specifications.
• Perform mathematical calculations related to dimensions, angles, and setup requirements.
• Select, install, and maintain appropriate cutting tools and tooling components.
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and indicators.
• Troubleshoot machining, programming, tooling, and equipment issues and implement corrective actions.
