Standard Iron & Metal Co. is seeking a dependable Laser Operator to set up, operate, and maintain CNC laser cutting machines, delivering high-precision parts in a safe, efficient workspace.

This second shift role offers $20.00-$31.00 per hour plus a $3.00/hour shift differential and a $1,000 hiring bonus paid over the first year. Expect a 4-day work week from 4:30 PM to 3:00 AM.

Qualifications

• Proficient in reading mechanical drawings/blueprints and using precision measuring tools.
• Experience as a CNC Operator (Laser experience preferred).

Responsibilities

• Machine Operation: Load and edit CNC programs; set machines for full cycles to fabricate large batches of parts.
• Material Handling: Load sheet metal into bays and use a forklift to move materials and parts.
• Quality Control: Perform first-part and random inspections using calipers, gauges, and tape measures.
• Production Maintenance: Monitor cutting quality and adjust feed rates or settings in real time.
• Equipment Care: Daily maintenance and advanced troubleshooting for Class A operators.
• Post-Processing: Separate and pick parts, stack them, and package finished goods.
