Standard Iron, a long-standing contract manufacturer, is seeking a dependable Laser Operator to set up and run CNC laser cutting machines, ensuring high-precision parts and safe operations. The role emphasizes quality craftsmanship and efficient workflow.

First shift 6:00 AM-4:30 PM with a 4-day work week (Mon-Thu); Second shift 4:30 PM-3:00 AM with a $3 shift differential. A $1,000 hiring bonus is paid over the first year.

Formación

• Read and interpret mechanical drawings/blueprints.
• Experience as CNC operator; laser experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and work in a manufacturing environment.
• Forklift certification required; certification preferred.
• Basic computer skills for program loading and data entry.

Responsabilidades

• Machine Operation: Load and edit CNC programs; set machines for full cycles to fabricate large batches of parts according to specifications.
• Material Handling: Load sheet metal into bays and safely use a forklift to move materials and completed parts.
• Quality Control: Perform first-part and random inspections using calipers, gauges, and tape measures to ensure 100% conformity to prints.
• Production Maintenance: Monitor cutting quality and adjust feed rates or machine settings in real-time to optimize results.
• Equipment Care: Perform daily maintenance (nozzle centering, window cleaning, dust bin removal) and advanced troubleshooting (optical path realignment, pneumatic/hydraulic checks) for Class A operators.
• Post-Processing: Separate and 'pick' parts from skeletons, stack them systematically, and package finished goods using banding or shrink wrap.
