Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking a Rotating Parts MFG Lab Technician – CNC Machining to set up and run CNC machines for high-precision rotating components. You’ll verify programs, offsets, and tooling, and perform in-process inspections to ensure parts meet drawing specifications.

A strong metrology background and GD&T understanding are essential. You will work in a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment, contribute to process improvements, and ensure safety and quality standards are met.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 2+ years of experience operating CNC machines in manufacturing (aerospace/auto preferred).
• Hands-on CNC setup including work/tool offsets, prove-out, and basic G-code/M-code editing.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines to produce rotating parts per specs.
• Load/verify CNC programs; set work and tool offsets; perform first-piece runs.
• Inspect parts with hand tools and record data for logs/QA databases.
• Read engineering drawings and GD&T callouts to ensure conformance.
• Identify deviations and work with engineers to address root causes.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work area following 5S practices.
