A family-owned machine shop serving the aerospace and defense industries, experiencing continual growth. We seek an experienced CNC Horizontal Boring Mill Operator.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up Horizontal Boring Mills proficiently.
• Perform drilling, tapping, boring, and milling.
• Set up CNC machines with minimal assistance, including editing, installing, and adjusting tools and fixtures.
• Load raw materials, verify settings via measurements.
• Maintain equipment through preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Follow safety standards at all times.
• Use proper tools and gauging equipment.
• Apply knowledge of geometry and trigonometry to machining tasks.
• Understand machining applications across different materials.
• Plan operational sequences effectively.

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of experience with CNC Horizontal Boring Machines.
• Ability to read blueprints and follow instructions.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication, self-motivation, and team participation.
• Ability to lift/maneuver up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Pass a criminal background check and 10-panel drug screen.
• U.S. citizens or Green Card holders only.
