The Manitowoc Company, Inc. in Wisconsin is seeking a CNC Horizontal Boring Bar Machinist to set up and operate large CNC boring bars, verify dimensions with precision metrology, and ensure parts meet blueprints and ISO standards.

You will load programs, edit as needed, and maintain tooling, while upholding 5S and safety practices. This role requires at least 2 years of experience with large CNC equipment, ability to read drawings, and the physical capability to lift 50 lbs.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Two+ years setting up large CNC boring bars or equivalent training.
• Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools.
• Capable of lifting 50 lbs over distances up to 100 ft.

Responsabilidades

• Set up and run large CNC boring bars to blueprint and process sheet requirements.
• Load tapes/files and edit CNC programs to optimize part quality and takt time.
• Read and work from drawings, schematics, mini process sheets, and detailed dimensions.
• Use rules, levels, miters, and squares to verify angles and features.
• Operate internal shapers and perform presetting for CNC tooling.
• Grind small twist drills and maintain sharp, reliable tooling.
• Operate pedestal-mounted jib cranes for safe material moves.
• Inspect and mark materials; ensure parts and materials remain properly identified.
• Complete and maintain required documentation; ensure paperwork follows parts.
• Execute random quality inspections to meet ISO standards.
• Maintain housekeeping and 5S expectations in the department.
