Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a CNC Haas/Mazak Machinist in Monroe, MI for a permanent position on either day or night shift. The role requires setting up, operating, and editing programs on Haas milling machines in a climate-controlled shop with metal parts and technical documentation.

The specialist will read blueprints, apply G and M codes, perform on-machine edits, execute tool changes, and inspect parts with gauges and micrometers to ensure tight tolerances.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience setting up and operating CNC Haas mill machines.
• Read blueprints and technical specs to determine dimensions and tolerances.
• Solid understanding of G and M codes and how to apply them.
• Proficiency with gauges, calipers, dial indicators, and micrometers for inspection.
• Ability to perform tool changes and setups on CNC mills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC Haas mill machines to produce precision metal components according to specifications.
• Read blueprints and drawings to determine dimensions, tolerances and machining needs.
• Apply a strong understanding of G and M codes to program, adjust, and optimize CNC machine operations.
• Make program edits directly at the machine to improve part quality, efficiency, and accuracy.
• Perform tool changes and machine setups, including selecting, installing, and adjusting cutting tools and fixtures.
• Use gauges, calipers, dial indicators, and micrometers to inspect parts and verify tolerances.
• Monitor machine performance during production runs and adjust feeds, speeds, and offsets to maintain quality.
