Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; machining cert preferred or equivalent experience.
• Experience operating CNC Gleason gear generating equipment in a manufacturing setting.
• Knowledge of gear terminology, blueprints, and precision measurement techniques.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC Gleason gear generating machines per drawings and spec sheets.
• Install and true cutting tools, fixtures, arbors, and tooling as required.
• Verify machine offsets, tooling dimensions, and program parameters before production.
• Run production to meet schedules while ensuring quality and traceability.
• Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections with micrometers and calipers.
• Monitor tool wear and machine performance; adjust as needed to maintain quality.
• Record labor, quantities, scrap, downtime, and inspection results in system.
• Identify malfunctions; report issues to leads or maintenance staff.
• Maintain coolant levels, lubrication, and perform preventive maintenance.
• Follow safety rules, JSA, and sustain 5S in the work area.
