Job summary

Genuine Search Group in Grand Rapids is seeking a hands-on CNC Field Service Mechatronics Specialist to keep CNC mills and lathes running. You will diagnose mechanical, electrical, and controls issues on site and in the shop, bringing down downtime and restoring performance.

The role requires several years of field service experience, familiarity with Mitsubishi or Siemens controls, and PLCs. You’ll work directly with customers, document fixes, and deliver professional, clear communication.

Qualifications

Several years of hands-on CNC maintenance, repair, and field service experience.
Background with Mitsubishi and/or Siemens controls; familiarity with PLCs
Direct work on CNC mills and lathes (preferred)
Expert diagnostic ability and methodical problem-solving
Strong customer service mindset and clear communication style

Responsibilities

Keep CNC machinery running by performing in-field maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs
Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, and controls issues and implement effective fixes
Service CNC mills and lathes; experience with 5-axis equipment is strongly preferred
Deliver clear, professional communication with customers and internal teammates
