Job summary

SendCutSend Inc. is seeking a CNC Machine Operator to operate and support CNC fiber laser equipment to produce precision-cut and formed sheet metal parts.

This hands-on role focuses on machine setup, operation, inspection, and material handling, working closely with team leads, supervisors, and managers to meet customer specifications. The role requires reading 2D/3D drawings, maintaining a clean work area per LEAN/5S, and effective communication to resolve issues and ensure quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
• Basic knowledge of CNC systems and machine controls.
• Ability to read production drawings and flat patterns.
• Ability to use measuring devices and basic hand tools.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Ability to follow work instructions and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor CNC fiber lasers.
• Load material and unload finished parts from machines.
• Verify correct programs, tooling, and material prior to running jobs.
• Perform machine startup, shutdown, and routine daily maintenance.
• Install and set up punches, dies, and job tooling as required.
• Read and interpret 2D and 3D drawings for proper laser and brake setup.
• Measure parts using gauges and inspection tools to verify angles, dimensions, and overall accuracy meet customer specifications.
• Collaborate with team leads and supervisors to meet daily production goals and communicate issues or quality concerns as they arise.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area in alignment with LEAN and 5S principles.
• Assist with inventory of tooling such as punches and dies.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
