Job summary

Savaria in Greenville, SC is seeking a skilled Laser Cutting and Press Brake Operator to set up, operate, and maintain Amada laser cutting and Press Brake systems. You will produce high-quality sheet-metal parts from various materials while maximizing uptime and cut quality.

The role requires reading blueprints, executing precise bends, and maintaining safety and productivity. Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with CNC interfaces are needed for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3+ years operating CNC fiber (or CO₂) laser cutting machines; Amada experience preferred.
• Able to read blueprints, work orders and material specs with mechanical aptitude.
• Familiar with Windows-based controls; AMNC or similar CNC interfaces a plus.
• Detail-oriented, able to perform precise measuring and maintain documentation.

Responsibilities

• Safely set up and operate the Amada laser according to job travelers and schedules.
• Load/unload material, select nozzles, assist gases, and adjust cutting parameters.
• Load and optimize programs; monitor real-time process and diagnose issues.
• Select, install and align tooling; perform trial bends and fine-tuning for accuracy.
• Maintain production documentation and communicate issues to supervision; perform routine maintenance.
