Own Your Impact from Day OneAt GTC, every eligible full-time team member shares in our success. Through our Ownership For All program, you gain an ownership stake as soon as you join. Your results power our growth—and your own.A Day in This RoleYou start your morning walking the production floor, listening for changes in spindle tone, checking vibration logs, and reviewing last night’s maintenance tickets. A horizontal mill is due for a preventive alignment, a lathe flagged an encoder fault, and a grinder needs a lubrication check. By mid-day you’ve returned a downed machining center to service, documented the repair, ordered a replacement hydraulic pump, and coached an operator on best practices. Before you wrap, you verify laser linear checks and schedule a Renishaw ballbar test to lock in circularity. What Success Looks LikeAll CNC and manual machines are maintained per preventive schedules and manufacturer guidance.Safety is non-negotiable—procedures align with OSHA and OEM specifications every time.Maintenance logs, PM checklists, and service histories are complete and current.Waste of time, motion, and materials is identified and eliminated continuously. When the queue is light, you proactively seek meaningful work to elevate uptime and throughput.Tasks are executed safely and methodically to meet internal safety benchmarks.Core ResponsibilitiesDiagnose and repair equipment swiftly to minimize downtime and return assets to production.Perform scheduled and condition-based preventive maintenance.Partner with external service providers when specialized support is needed.Source and order parts to complete corrective and preventive work.QualificationsEducation & ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED required. At least 3 years maintaining manual and CNC machine tools.Associate degree or certificate in industrial maintenance preferred.US citizenship required.Technical DepthHands-on knowledge of bearings, ball screws, gearboxes, pumps, hydraulic and lubrication systems.Ability to read mechanical drawings to disassemble, rebuild, and reassemble components.Proficient with precision alignment using levels, granite squares, and column squares.Comfortable interpreting basic electrical schematics.Use of a digital voltmeter and oscilloscope for electrical troubleshooting.Experience with CNC controls (Siemens, Fanuc, Heidenhain) and onboard diagnostics.Knowledge of axis feedback devices: inductosyns, resolvers, encoders, and linear scales.Familiar with laser-based linear accuracy checks and Renishaw ballbar circularity testing. How You’ll Work with OthersBuild strong partnerships with maintenance peers, operators, supervisors, and production control.Model a collaborative, can-do attitude and actively help teammates succeed.Physical & EnvironmentalManufacturing setting with noise, dust, and temperature variation.Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.Willingness to work extended hours or weekends for urgent repairs.ProficienciesCNC Machine RepairEquipment Diagnostics & Troubleshooting
