Job summary

Texas Hydraulics is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician II who enjoys diagnosing why something isn’t working and getting it running again. This hands-on role requires troubleshooting CNC controls and related electronic systems.

You’ll read schematics, use precision measuring tools, and collaborate with service technicians to keep production lines safe, reliable, and productive across all shifts including weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• At least two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience diagnosing HMIs, drives and power supplies
• Ability to read and interpret machine drawings and electronic schematics
• Comfort using calipers, micrometers and other measuring tools
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to communicate effectively with production employees, management and outside service technicians
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair CNC controls and electronic systems
• Diagnose HMI, drive and power-supply issues
• Repair and maintain mechanical and production equipment
• Read electrical schematics, machine drawings and equipment manuals
• Use electronic diagnostic and precision-measuring equipment
• Work with manufacturer service technicians to resolve complex equipment issues
• Help keep production equipment running safely and reliably
• Follow critical safety requirements, including LOTO, PPE and confined-space procedures
• Respond to plant emergencies when your expertise is needed
