Job summary

MAPAL Inc. in Fountain Inn, SC, the US Centre of Competence for solid carbide tools, seeks a CNC EDM Machine Operator/Machinist. You will set up and run multi-axis EDM and grinding machines, interpret drawings, measure parts, and document quality checks. The role supports aerospace tooling and MAPAL standards.

Qualifications

• Education, Military or Training equivalent to 2-4 year degree or OJT considered.
• Experience with multi-axis CNC grinding machinery or OD grinders.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and instructions.
• Experience with precision measurement equipment to MAPAL standards.
• Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office 365.

Responsibilities

• Set-up and operate CNC multi-axis EDM or tool and cutter grinding machines.
• Program and grind tools to blueprint specifications and MAPAL standards.
• Inspect finished parts with calipers, micrometers and gauges for tolerances.
• Interpret blueprints, CAD models and work orders to determine machining requirements.
• Maintain production logs, assist in training and uphold MAPAL safety standards.
