Job summary

AM Cabinets Inc. is a commercial architectural millwork leader seeking new team members to grow its status as an industry leader.

The role focuses on creating CNC programs from construction drawings with proper material assignments using Microvellum and AutoCAD. Responsibilities include generating machine code from standard and custom products, developing 2D AutoCAD shop drawings, and producing precise nest drawings for CNC routers.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years experience using AutoCAD and Microvellum in millwork/cabinet or wood/plastic environment.
• Understanding of Microvellum or equivalent software; custom products, material assignments, machining tokens and global variables.
• Strong AutoCAD skills; floor plans, elevations, sections and details.
• Familiarity with various manufacturing materials and their specs.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).

Responsibilities

• Create CNC programs from construction drawings with proper material assignments and machining using Microvellum and AutoCAD.
• Generate machine code from standard library and custom products.
• Develop 2D AutoCAD shop drawings from architectural/interior drawings for submittal and construction.
• Create organized nest drawings for CNC router operation.
• Troubleshoot G-code and machine error codes related to CNC programs.
• Collaborate with shop floor personnel to ensure product and process improvements.
