Job summary

WCC in Stroudsburg, PA seeks a skilled CNC Designer/Operator to take cabinetry projects from initial design to CNC output. The role requires expertise in cabinet construction, and mastery of AutoCAD and Vectric Aspire to create efficient toolpaths and nested layouts.

You will build CAD/CAM workflows, design custom cabinet parts, and coordinate with the shop lead on tolerances, materials, and sequencing. A high-end shop environment offers variety and opportunities for process improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience in custom cabinet design (face frame and/or frameless).
• Proficiency with AutoCAD production drawings and layers/blocks.
• Proficiency with Vectric Aspire toolpaths, nesting, and simulation.
• CNC operation and maintenance awareness; safe machine practices.
• Ability to read shop drawings, interpret specs, and solve problems independently.

Responsibilities

• Translate cabinet shop drawings and specs into CNC-ready toolpaths and cut files.
• Build and maintain CAD/CAM workflows using AutoCAD and Vectric Aspire.
• Develop cabinet part layouts (nested sheets) and machining sequences.
• Design and fabricate custom cabinet parts (doors, moldings, hinges, etc.).
• Coordinate with shop lead on design details, materials, hardware, tolerances, and sequencing.
• Maintain tooling inventory and post-processors; set up CNC equipment; perform test cuts.
