Job summary

Oldcastle, a CRH company, is seeking a skilled machinist to manufacture dies and tooling using CNC mills and wire EDM. You will program using DP Esprit and work with SolidWorks in a fast-paced environment.

You will set up and operate manual machines, maintain equipment, and support a 24/7 production schedule with overtime as needed. This role emphasizes teamwork and quality craftsmanship in a leading outdoor living products and infrastructure manufacturer.

Qualifications

• Technical School Degree or Apprentice Certificate.
• Minimum 4 years machine shop experience with CNC equipment.
• Experience with manual machines.
• Familiar with SolidWorks.
• Ability to program wire EDM and horizontal mills using DP Esprit.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Adjust processes to ensure machines are running efficiently.
• Update time logs.
• Set-up and run wire EDM and/or CNC mills.
• Manufacture new parts for dies, sizers, and punch tooling etc.
• Repair of damaged tooling.
• Repair of damaged mechanical equipment for all departments.
• Work in a team atmosphere.
• Available to work 1st, 2nd, 3rd shifts.
• Available to work overtime if needed.
• Maintain a neat and orderly work environment.
• Operate manual machine shop equipment (lathes, surface grinders, mills).
• Support production needs to maintain a 24/7 schedule.
