Job summary
Hadrian is expanding its Manufacturing the Future initiative and seeks a Controls Engineer to scale Machining across multiple US factories. You will work with Applications, CAM Operations, Software, and Robotics to push automation boundaries and enable high-throughput, high-precision CNC production.
Ideal candidates have macro programming experience (Fanuc/Siemens/Heidenhain), CNC operation know-how, and a solid software foundation.
Qualifications
- Experience writing macros for Fanuc, Siemens, or Heidenhain.
- Ability to run and operate CNC machines including part setup, tool loading, tool offsets, spindle probing.
- Strong programming knowledge with software basics (Python, data structures, Git) and testing.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Develop universal controller interface for CNC machines to enable interoperability across platforms.
- Use spindle probing for improved inspection and process control.
- Create an integrated CMM<>CNC feedback loop linking measurement to control.
- Develop operator enablement systems to reduce manual intervention in CNC manufacturing.
- Support cross-functional teams by engineering scalable on-machine capabilities.
