Job summary

Hadrian is seeking a Controls Engineer to scale its CNC machining capability across the US. You will work with Applications Engineering, CAM Operations, Software Engineering, and Robotics to push machining boundaries.

You’ll develop a universal controller interface, implement advanced probing and calibration, and empower operators with safer, more capable machine control.

This is a full-time, on-site role with relocation support and equity benefits.

Qualifications

• Macro programming experience for Fanuc, Siemens, or Heidenhain.
• Ability to run and setup CNC machines (mills, lathes) with proper offsets.
• Software fundamentals including Python, data structures, version control (GitHub) and testing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Machining knowledge across materials like aluminum, stainless steel, and hard metals.

Responsibilities

• Develop universal CNC controller interface to streamline operations.
• Use spindle probing for inspection and process control.
• Create an integrated CMM<>CNC feedback loop.
• Develop operator-enabled machine control systems.
• Support cross-functional teams to expand on-machine capabilities.
